Villa Borghese to Trevi — Views, Shopping & Hidden Rome

A green start, panoramic viewpoints, Roman shopping streets, rooftop drinks and a hidden underground finale.

⏱ 4 hours
🚶 Easy / Moderate
🌇 Late morning / afternoon

Walk through Villa Borghese, discover the water clock and reach the Pincio before descending towards the Spanish Steps. Continue through Rome's luxury and high-street shopping areas, pass Piazza Colonna and Via del Tritone, then finish at the Trevi Fountain with the option to continue underground to Vicus Caprarius.

LOCAL TIP

Around 4½ hours at a relaxed pace. Allow more time if you stop for shopping, Pastificio Guerra, a rooftop aperitivo or Vicus Caprarius. Luxury shopping is concentrated around Via dei Condotti and Via del Babuino; mainstream shopping continues along Via del Corso, with Zara and Rinascente as easy optional stops. Rinascente is also a good panoramic break if you want aperitivo or dinner with a view.
